Hiking & Waterfalls @ Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve
Cockscomb is the world's first jaguar preserve and offers great hiking opportunities. Within this spectacular preserve the jungle is dense beautiful with abundant flora and fauna.
On this trip you’ll see birds and butterflies. The forest is filled with mammals like peccaries, deer, agoutis, gibnuts, anteaters, kinkajous, and tapirs. On the rare occasion, jaguars have been sighted.
Cockscomb adventures include half a dozen hiking trails with various challenging slopes and steepness.. Bring your swimwear! There are several waterfalls and natural pools on the trails or you can rent an inner tube and have a relaxing one-hour float down the river. Finally, be sure to check out the plane crash!
